2011 – 2012: CREATING A DYNAMIC LOCAL NETWORK
In the context of the spring of 2011 it is perceived a global society willing to organize itself but lacking the tools and efficient and effective channeling initiatives.
19/11/11: Beginning of the construction of a social tool, to unite and coordinate against social cuts policies in Vigo and region.
17/03/12: ‘Plataforma Vigo’ begins its journey.
2012 – 2013: A LOCAL SPACE-TOOL WITH GLOBAL VOCATION
Rapid incorporation of organizations and activists into ‘Platforma Vigo’ leads to take a chance in generating a new, more complex structure that connects Vigo with other localities and impulses from other parts of the world.
21/03/13: ECOAR))) is born, Space for (Counter)discourse, Construction, and Coordination of Alternatives and Social Response.
2013 – 2014: A HIGHLY SPECIALIZED AND GLOBAL STRUCTURE
The increased workload and the complexity of the tasks lead to transform ECOAR))) into an unpaid professional structure of a global nature, with its epicenter no longer in Vigo and Galicia. ECOAR))) becomes a structure that relies on actions, activists and groups anywhere in the world.
2015 – Today: CONSTRUCTION OF ECOAR))) GLOBAL’S BASIC STRUCTURE
From 1 January 2015, a stage begins with the intention to provide ECOAR ))) with the necessary structure to face the new situation. It begins to actuate in different parts of the planet, complex dynamics and tools are designed and constructed, and it starts to integrate activists from different corners of the world.
